Conference Overview

The U.S. economy is experiencing a slower pace of activity following years of economic good times.  As such, the most vulnerable loans during slower economic periods are small business loans, which usually have minimum capital and high levels of debts.  The typical response by most financial institutions is a heightened awareness of the credit granting process to avoid excessive problem loans in the future in addition to strengthening efforts of identifying a positive credit culture.  This one and half day seminar is designed for Lenders with all levels of experience to address the aforementioned issues. The seminar will present topics in a very open dialogue environment covering attributes of successful financial organizations.  After completing this seminar, the participant will be able to:
     •  Identify their institution’s credit culture and apply change techniques, should they be deemed necessary
     •  Address appraisal issues and determine best practices in a challenging and competitive market
     •  Identify and assess problem credits and formulate a positive workout plan
     •  Understand the new rules of the ALLL and the Current Expectant Credit Loss model (CECL)
     •  Identify the positive attributes of a commercial lending team or commercial lender.
